therapini is a mental health therapy app where users can talk or text with an AI therapist for mental health support. By using, visiting, or interacting with therapini via its applications or websites, you agree to this Privacy Policy. This privacy policy is part of our Terms of Service.
therapini is a worldwide service owned and operated by Nunuworks, Inc. When we refer to therapini (“we”, “us, or “our”) in this policy, we refer to the therapini website, applications, and services only, not any other services owned or operated by Nunuworks, Inc. When we refer to users (or you), we mean all users and visitors of therapini.
By using therapini, you agree that the personal information that you provide directly to us, or that we collect through your use of the service, may be transferred to and stored in Canada or the United States and handled as described in this Policy.
This is information that you provide to us through various text fields, audio inputs, photo uploads, dropdown menus, buttons, personal journals, and emotional journey entries. These entries are solely for your personal use and remain accessible until you choose to delete them or clear your chat history, which will also remove your emotional journey entries. To delete personal journal entries, you need to select them specifically and delete them. We only store the information you provide to us directly or consent to us collecting while you use our service.
We may also collect information via service integrations if you consent to it. These service integrations can include your authentication details with your device OS (such as Google or Apple Login).
A user is someone who interacts with the therapini website, or mobile app. As a user, you will make transactions using the AppStore's and PlayStore's in-app purchases. Please refer to the respective platforms for their Privacy Policies. At this time, therapini does not receive or store your full card number. Payment processors may provide us with a token that represents your account, your card's expiration date, card type, and the last four digits of your card number. If you are required to provide your name and email address to the payment processor, then they may also provide us with that information.
We collect and process information about every user of therapini.
We collect information automatically as you navigate therapini or through our third-party analytics providers. You may self-initiate a deletion of your account directly via our mobile application by going to your Settings. Please be aware that this is a final act and cannot be reversed.
Users maintain a passwordless account with therapini. To log in or sign up, you can either Sign in with Google or Apple. If you submit a request to exercise your privacy rights, you will be asked to verify the request by logging into your therapini account this way.
If we are unable to verify your request, then for your protection, we reserve the right to deny the request.
therapini is an international service that complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for our users based in the European Union. We act as Data Controllers, as defined under the GDPR, and process personal data based on our legitimate interests, and for contractual necessity in providing you the Service as described in “How We Use Your Information.” We also process and share personal information based on notifications and users' consent, which our users may revoke at any time.
therapini is responsible for the processing of personal information it receives or subsequently transfers to a third party acting as an agent on therapini's behalf. therapini is subject to the regulatory enforcement powers of the Canada Competition Bureau.
therapini is an international service and as such, we are also subject to the California Consumer Privacy Act for our users based in California. therapini provides California residents, and all users, the right to view or access their information via the application's various features. All users also have the right to submit a request for deletion of information by going to their settings.
Users in certain locations may have certain rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or under the California Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) regarding data that therapini controls as a Data Controller as defined under the GDPR, including:

Upon deletion of your account, we do not retain any account information, chat history, or any other data associated with your account in our databases or servers. However, we do retain anonymized usage data within Google Analytics for analytical purposes. This data is anonymized and cannot be linked back to individual users. therapini is designed for individuals 18 and older. Users aged 13-18 require verbal or written parental consent to use our service. Our service is not suitable for anyone under 13. As we cannot reliably verify our user's age technically, we rely on users to comply with these age restrictions. By using therapini, users affirm they are over 18 or have obtained the necessary parental consent if aged 13-18. If you suspect a child under 13 has provided personal information to therapini, please email us at [email protected]. We will investigate and, if necessary, remove that account and all of their information from our systems as swiftly as possible.
